Carpenter will conduct a pre-ride meeting to disucess the ride, finalize details, expectations and safty. This will be a long ride and while there are gas stations along the route, it's highly suggested that you are fueled up prior to KSU. There are multiple gas stations in Stayton Or. which is about 7 miles west of Camp Taloali on HWY 22.
While we encourage everyone to stay in one group, we understand that people may want to ride at their own ride, at their own pace and make stops along the way. This is expected, be safe and in case of an emergency, see our contacts page if you need to contact someone directly from 29-4.
The ride is one big loop through Oregon's beautiful Cascade Mountain Range. Starting at Camp Taloali, we ride east on HWY 22 towards the small community of Detroit Lake. We will stay on HWY 22 until the HWY 20 intersection where the ride will head back into the Cascadia region of the Cascades and into Sweet Home Or.
Once in Sweet Home we will be stopping at The Rusty Bucket for lunch.

We will be stopping in Sweet Home Oregon for lunch at the Rusty Bucket. We expect to arrive approximatly 1230. There should be plenty of bike parking for everyone. However, if the Rusty Bucket is not your cup of tea, Sweet Home has other options in town.
As mentioned, we hope people stay in the group, but please feel free to ride your ride at your pace. If you want to head straight back to the camp without stopping for luch, feel free.
